Factory Planning Manager - Fixed Term

Job Description

We are seeking a Factory Planning Manager to join our Auckland manufacturing team on a 6–8 month fixed‑term contract. This role suits an experienced planner or senior planning specialist who is ready to step into a leadership role and take ownership of planning and inventory activities for a defined period. 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading weekly planning meetings with Supply Chain Planning and Production to deliver clear, executable factory production plans.
  • Managing raw material replenishment and site inventory, including cycle counts, SLOB management, stock reconciliation, and end‑of‑year stocktake.
  • Leading the planning and warehouse teams to ensure safe, compliant operations aligned with the requirements.
  • Building and managing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and successful delivery of operational plans.
  • Identifying and resolving planning and supply exceptions, including capacity constraints, COGI errors, and inventory variances.
  • Supporting phase‑in/phase‑out activities and New Product Development (NPD) to ensure smooth product introductions

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in leading/mentoring a team;
  • Highly analytical and accurate
  • 3-5  years Factory or Supply Chain planning experience
  • Experienced with SAP APO, and have strong Excel skills
  • Good communication skills and capable of influencing others;
  • Eager to take ownership, have initiative, and results driven
  • FMCG experience
